Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our pediatric care team at Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As a Care Team Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our pediatric patients, managing high-risk cases, offering education and support to families, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate infection control practices and provide age-appropriate care to pediatric patients.
• Assess physical, emotional, and socio-economic needs of clients and families, making referrals when necessary.
• Provide urgent care, perform triage, and effectively use EMR for documentation.
• Coordinate communication between patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures efficiently.
• Follow up with patients after hospital discharge to prevent complications.
• Engage in pediatric-focused training and education.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with standards of care.
• Meet the physical demands of the position effectively.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team environment.
• Proficiency in handling sensitive medical information and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and email communication.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN or LPN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ongoing Continuing Educational Units (CEU's).
• Adherence to American Nursing Association Standards of Practice.
