Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our team at Thrive Therapies Group for the 2024-2025 school year. As a core member of our mission-driven organization, you will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities, fostering their growth, and ensuring they excel both academically and personally.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with school partners and practitioners to assess student needs, develop intervention plans, and adjust strategies based on outcomes.
- Set high expectations while tailoring support to meet individual student requirements, working closely with parents to identify essential skills for student success.
- Provide comprehensive reports to educators and conduct professional development sessions to enhance collaboration and effectiveness.
- Create and implement 504 and IEP goals, lead meetings with parents and stakeholders, ensuring student progress and support.
Requirements
- Prioritize student care and believe in their ability to achieve their goals.
- Experience in diverse public school settings, valuing science, data, and human connection.
- Strong collaboration skills, setting ambitious goals and supporting others to excel.
- Responsive, empathetic, and committed to student well-being and growth.
- National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy and active TN State license.
Bonus Points
- Experience in K-12 school-based therapy or with neurodiverse individuals.
- Proficiency in global languages like Spanish, Somali, or Arabic.
