Surgical Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Surgical Assistant to join our elite oral surgery practice at Oklahoma Dental Implants & Oral Surgery. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes, and meeting our patients' needs.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures by performing tasks such as tissue retraction, managing intravenous lines, and documenting patient information.
• Verify patient identities and surgical sites, discuss surgical procedures with the surgeon, and maintain aseptic conditions during surgeries.
• Prepare and maintain the necessary surgical equipment, obtain dental radiographs, and complete patient clinical narratives.
• Monitor and support patients' intraoperative status, handling other related duties as needed.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required, DAANCE certification and dental assistant license preferred.
• At least one year of related experience is beneficial.
