Job Description
We are looking for an Application Engineer to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. In this role, you will collaborate with product designers and user experience experts to enhance the discover.com customer experience. Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new features with a focus on quality and security.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and ensure team goals are achieved.
- Make design decisions, proactively address issues, and manage risks to deliver outstanding products.
- Participate in technology communities and contribute to the company's growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Internal candidates must have a technical proficiency rating of competent.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and React.
- Experience with UI Technology, TDD, BDD, Selenium/Cucumber, Cloud, and containerization.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation: Base pay ranges from $86,500.00 to $146,100.00 with additional incentives based on location, experience, and skills.
