Job Description

Discover Financial Services is looking for a Business Process Management (BPM/BAW) Application Engineer to join its Discover Network Fraud organization. As part of an autonomous product team, you will design, develop, and support cloud-based and on-prem solutions, focusing on process automation. Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new features to production with high quality.
• Lead and mentor Associate Application Engineers, ensuring team commitments are met.
• Guide design decisions, provide proactive solutions, and contribute to technology communities at Discover.
• Experience in BPM administration, configuration, implementation, and support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
• Internal applicants should have technical proficiency according to the Dreyfus engineering scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Open Shift Container or Kubernetes platforms.
• Hands-on experience with IBM BAW, process design, and development.
• Expertise in process automation using IBM BPM suite.
• Experience with Agile methodology and DevOps tools.
• Strong knowledge of integration technologies like Rest API, Spring Framework, Angular/React, etc.
