Job Description
We are looking for a talented Application Engineer (Full-Stack) to join Discover Financial Services. As a part of our innovative and collaborative team, you will build and release reliable software systems, work on full stack solutions, and contribute to the larger technical ecosystem. Your role involves analyzing, designing, programming, testing, and deploying new features with high quality, guiding the team, overseeing design decisions, and leading technology communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new features with high quality.
- Guide and direct team members, assist in their growth, and achieve team commitments.
- Provide oversight on design decisions and guide the team towards key results.
- Remediate issues and create proactive design solutions.
- Contribute to and lead technology communities at Discover Financial Services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale (internal applicants only).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in full stack Java development.
- Proficiency in Java Spring Boot, Rest API, and React.
- Drive unit testing and test automation.
- Exposure to OCP, AWS, or other Cloud technologies.
- Experience in a collaborative development environment.
