Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities and lessons that meet the developmental needs of children.
- Supervise children in the classroom, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Help maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
- Provide individual attention to children in need of extra assistance or care.
- Facilitate group activities to enhance children's social and cooperative skills.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meal times, bathroom breaks, and nap times.
- Observe and record children's behavior, milestones, and progress for review with lead teacher.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's experiences and development.
- Prepare teaching materials and aids as directed by the lead teacher.
- Help manage classroom inventory and resources.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Enforce rules and disciplinary measures in the classroom as per daycare policy.
- Assist with the integration of special needs children in a respectful and supportive manner.
- Encourage children to express themselves creatively through art, music, and play.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the lead teacher or daycare management.
Pay/Schedule
Full-time and Part-time available
$16-19/hour, based on experience
9-hour shift with an hour lunch break
Business hours are Monday thru Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
No weekends
