Director of Accounting

Job Description

Join Hercules Poly, Inc as our Director of Accounting and oversee the accounting operations across all segments of our business. As a pivotal member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in financial reporting, internal controls, and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the general accounting function and manage financial reporting to the CFO.
• Supervise accounting teams at multiple locations, providing guidance and resolving issues.
• Establish and uphold financial policies and systems to ensure robust internal controls.
• Manage month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes for all business segments.
• Coordinate financial statements preparation and regulatory reporting.
• Assist in financial reviews and audits conducted by external accountants.
• Provide valuable insights to company leaders for decision-making purposes, especially related to cash flow.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting processes, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Enhance accounting procedures, conduct financial investigations, and support additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant accounting supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with ERP software, preferably NetSuite (Oracle).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Key competencies: active listening, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management.
• Approximately 10% travel required to company locations.
• Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
