Engineer III - Tier 1

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Engineer III - Tier 1 to join EarthScope Consortium in Socorro, New Mexico. As a key member of the Instrumentation - Engineering Design department, the Engineer III will provide technical leadership for geophysical projects involving multiple stakeholders and technologies, managing operations at various sites across the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead for geophysical projects, setting and executing project strategies.
• Design and troubleshoot geophysical technology and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop novel technical solutions.
• Provide technical training and support for projects and user community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7 years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks (Bachelor's) / 4 years of field experience (Master's).
• Experience with dataloggers, digital logic, and power supply design.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting for automation.

Environment

• Field work conditions in challenging environments.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
