Job Description
Johns Manville Corp, a leading manufacturer in premium-quality insulation and commercial roofing, is looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join their team at the Milan, OH facility. As the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining plant safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. Your role will involve driving effective safety programs, managing the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Team's performance, and ensuring full compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify and communicate facility risk exposures and prioritize risk reduction needs.
- Facilitate incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Assess current EHS structure and develop potential staff.
- Coordinate safety activities, training, and Hazard Identification.
- Drive continuous improvement in environmental monitoring and recordkeeping.
- Manage industrial process wastewaters and hazardous wastes.
- Establish and communicate HSE metrics and reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and JM policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years' experience in EHS in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory standards.
- Leadership skills to direct personnel and implement safety initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
- Willingness to be on call 24/7 and travel occasionally.
