Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Valley Counseling Services, a program of Family and Community Services Inc. This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour work week, although hours may vary to meet client and agency needs, including some evening work. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Medical Director to administer medications, provide emergency care, and assist in monitoring client health.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist agency physicians in observing and recording client behavior and response to medication.
• Provide emergency care and first aid services as required.
• Collaborate with medical professionals during crisis situations involving clients.
• Handle medication orders and administration for clients.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and serve on committees as assigned.

Qualifications

• Skills in psychiatric population care, medication administration, and crisis intervention.
• Training in First Aid, CPR, and de-escalation techniques.
• Valid LPN licensure in Ohio with medication administration training.
• Reliable transportation with a valid Ohio Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Practical nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience in mental health nursing preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively, drive to off-site locations, walk, bend, sit, hear, see, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Compensation

Hourly Wage: $21-21
