Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Avtec Finishing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a jack-of-all-trades, you will be responsible for handling various mechanical tasks in our manufacturing/production environment, including carpentry, electrical, welding, machine maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC. Your primary goal will be to ensure the shop's smooth operation by fixing mechanical and other issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks and repairs, including basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical malfunctions.
• Operate wire feed, gig, stick, and torch welding equipment for basic welding tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Maintain a regular and reliable attendance record and work safely with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Trade school training or equivalent experience of 2 years is required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently.
• Good mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English and the ability to interact cooperatively with colleagues and supervisors.

Compensation

Wage Range: $26-$32+/hour depending on experience, training, and work history.

Signing Bonus: $1,500.00 (Not available for current employees)

1st Shift hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.
