Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team at University of Toledo Physicians. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in providing essential patient care support under physician supervision. Your responsibilities will include assisting with clinical procedures, patient interactions, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures under physician or healthcare provider supervision.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, and document patient information accurately.
• Assist with in-office procedures, surgical care, and lab testing procedures.
• Maintain exam rooms, instruments, and equipment for infection control.
• Handle patient messages, calls, and appointment scheduling efficiently.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• BLS Certification required.
• 1+ year of clinical/medical industry experience preferred.
• Interpersonal skills, clinical proficiency, and basic computer skills.

Working Conditions

• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Sitting, standing, walking, and exposure to medical patients.
• Primarily inside in well-lighted areas.
