Principal Application Architect

Job Description

Discover Financial Services is looking for a Principal Application Architect to lead the technology strategy and technical capabilities for an application ecosystem. In this role, you will design application architecture that balances business and customer needs with technical requirements for resiliency, security, and efficiency. You will work closely with application engineers to ensure the architecture aligns with business goals and evolves to meet changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sr. Product Owner(s) to develop product vision and strategy.
• Oversee the design process for applications.
• Coach other architects on product quality strategy and solution design patterns.
• Stay engaged with modern technologies and patterns.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Software Development, Engineering, or Technical Architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Openshift is a plus.

Compensation

Base pay between $148,000.00 to $204,000.00 with additional incentives.
