Principal Release Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Release Manager to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Release Management life cycle, coordinating releases across the Agile Release Train, and recommending tools and services to facilitate deployment. You will lead teams in identifying, managing, and escalating risks while ensuring successful releases into non-production and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships and coordination between different teams.
• Plan release windows and cycles across the Portfolio/ART.
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews and Go-Live activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in Software Release Management or related field.
• Experience in DevOps/Automation or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong accountability and progression of the release process.
• Development of implementation and validation plans.
• Coordination of application teams within a release schedule.
