Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and talented Senior Associate Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Discover Financial Services. In this role, you will contribute to developing the cybersecurity engineering roadmap, design secure systems, and ensure regulatory and risk requirements are met. You will be responsible for managing risk, addressing vulnerabilities, and staying ahead of cyber threats in a high-velocity environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop engineering specifications for security, compliance, and assurance efforts.
- Assist in designing security solutions aligned with business goals.
- Validate architectural models across assigned technology systems.
- Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with peers, partners, and vendors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in Information Security, Application Security, or Security Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting, coding, and automation.
- Knowledge of multiple operating systems and Agile methodologies.
- Expertise in automating workloads and knowledge of security threats.
- Familiarity with Endpoint Security solutions (EDR, EPP, HBFW).

Compensation
Base pay ranges from $71,500 to $121,100, with additional incentives based on experience and skills.
