Used Service Technician

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and motivated Used Service Technicians to join our team at Rudd Equipment Company. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy equipment components both in the shop and field environments. Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and work safely.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on heavy equipment.
• Perform repairs on mobile equipment in the field.
• Expertise in welding, fabricating, and modifying parts.
• Repair or replace engine hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and more.
• Work efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Comply with quality standards, safety procedures, and DOT requirements.
• Be available for overtime, weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and drive-train systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with welding and equipment operation.
• Ability to interpret technical information and schematics.
• High School diploma or GED required, Technical school graduate preferred.
• Experience with Volvo construction equipment and paving equipment advantageous.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands

Work in shop and field environments, ability to lift heavy objects and work in variable weather conditions.

Position Type

Full-time, non-exempt position with variable work hours and occasional overtime.
