Job Description

Sirmax North America Inc is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team and lead sales and business development activities for the South East Territory. In this role, you will be responsible for proposing and implementing business development plans, developing sales volumes and profitability in line with company objectives, and nurturing relationships with customers and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Visits customers to achieve sales goals and develop multi-level relationships within the assigned customer(s), OEM, and other stakeholders.
  • Draws up sales forecasts relating to the designated area of expertise and promptly reports deviations from forecasts.
  • Researches and develops new customers in the relevant expertise area and proactively understands and analyzes customer product and service needs.
  • Identifies new opportunities and application spaces where new and existing products can be developed and positioned to create differentiation and long-term sustainability.
  • Coordinates the positioning of innovative products based on customer needs and evaluates and prioritizes value growth and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Negotiates local sales terms at the customer interface as needed, captures orders, and completes the ordering processing.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Strong organizational and excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years related to sales in plastics.
  • Positive, customer-focused outlook and strong learning orientation.
