First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America, is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team serving the Laurel Highlands School District. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing Freightliner Thomas school buses to ensure safety and readiness. Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair various vehicle components including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders and assist with mobile emergency services.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
• Minimum 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
• Mechanic's tool set and willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
