Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Diesel or Automotive Mechanic to join our team at First Student. As part of the largest school transportation provider in North America, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure safety and vehicle readiness. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment components including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders and assist with emergency services as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain CDL while employed (training provided).
• 1-5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
• Possess a mechanic's tool set and be willing to participate in the ASE certification program.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
