Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Expert Enterprise Architect to join Discover Financial Services. As a Technical Architect at Discover, you will be responsible for developing technology strategies, future state architectures, and addressing a broad spectrum of organizational concerns to deliver industry-differentiating solutions. You will be a technical thought leader, creating architectural artifacts and demonstrating expert knowledge in multiple technical areas. If you have a strong background in Software Development, Technical Architecture, and deep understanding within a technology area, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop technology strategies and future state architectures for value streams and product teams.
- Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues.
- Serve as a technical thought leader, creating architectural artifacts.
- Lead technical strategy balancing long-term and short-term architectural needs.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge in multiple technical areas.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Software Development, Software Engineering, or Technical Architecture.
- Internal applicants must have a technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus architecture scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture methods like TOGAF.
- Proficiency in using Enterprise Architecture modeling tools.
- Experience developing architecture strategies using Business Architecture practices.
- Experience in the financial industry and modern architectures.
- Experience leading large architecture program initiatives.

Compensation
Base pay ranges between $171,000.00 to $235,800.00 with additional incentives based on eligibility and market factors.
