First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America, is looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic for their shop serving Tacoma School District, Muckleshoot Tribal School, Charter. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.

About the Diesel Mechanic Position
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and perform vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders.
- Assist with mobile emergency services.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
- At least 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair experience or technical school education.
- Possess a mechanic's tool set.
- Willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing.
