Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Medication Aide to join our team at Mary Gran, part of Liberty Healthcare Management. As a Medication Aide, you will play a crucial role in administering medications, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a caring environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications following established policies and procedures, excluding injections and IV medications.
- Perform vital procedures like taking vital signs and providing enemas with the highest ethical standards.
- Ensure resident and staff safety by adhering to universal precautions and handling hazardous chemicals responsibly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and immediately report any medication errors.
- Handle controlled substances, maintain accurate counts, and follow shift change procedures diligently.
Requirements
- Must be registered on the NA1 registry with a clean record regarding abuse or neglect allegations.
- Completion of state-approved training program, including competency evaluation and facility orientation.
- Physical ability to perform job responsibilities, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing, bending, and walking intermittently.
