Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Product Owner to join Discover Financial Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of product outcomes that meet the needs of stakeholders and customers. This role requires a deep understanding of business constraints and the ability to provide effective solutions that align with the product vision.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product outcomes that meet stakeholder and customer requests by understanding business constraints and providing effective solutions.
- Actively manage and escalate risks and customer-impacting issues to management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align on key product considerations, features, and roadmap.
- Establish KPIs and OKRs, create key product documentation, define non-functional requirements, and own the product scope.
- Build and prioritize the product backlog, ensure product quality and compliance, and define product requirements.
- Partner with business technology to optimize system components and infrastructure maintenance.
- Empower the product team to make decisions and manage dependencies with other teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Product, Business, Technical, or related roles.
- Or, 8+ years of experience with Product, Business, Technical, or related roles in lieu of a degree.

Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $110,500.00 to $154,900.00. Additional incentives may be offered based on various factors.
