Job Description
We are hiring a Full-time Radiology Technologist to join Corewell Health's dedicated team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
General Summary
Under supervision, you will perform accurate diagnostic exams, maintain patient records, and communicate effectively with both medical staff and patients. This role requires adherence to radiation protection principles, compliance with regulations, and a commitment to Corewell Health's Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following patient verification and physician orders.
- Obtain accurate patient history and document in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize age-appropriate methods for patient care procedures.
- Communicate effectively with all relevant parties.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently.
- Follow ALARA standards for radiation exposure reduction.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients.
- Assist in training activities and maintain department operations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- Required certifications: CRT-R, CRT-Radiologic Technologist, CRT-BLS.
