Job Description

The Helen Ross McNabb Center is currently looking for compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team in East Tennessee. As a part of our team, you will be involved in fulfilling our mission of improving the lives of the people we serve through various nursing positions working with clients in clinics or in the community. The compensation for this position ranges from $19.22/hour to $26.80/hour, depending on the chosen position, experience, and education.

We currently have openings for Residential RN and LPN in various areas such as Crisis Stabilization Unit for Adults, Adolescent Male and Female Alcohol & Drug Treatment and Mental Health Treatment, and Residential Alcohol and Drug Treatment for Adults. Additionally, there are opportunities for PACT RN Case Manager and LPN, as well as Health Link Nurse Care Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Current LPN or RN license in Tennessee
  • Knowledge of psychiatric/mental health, alcohol and drug, and co-occurring disorders preferred
  • CPR certified or willing to become certified
  • Experience in working with special populations including individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring, and dual diagnosis disorders preferred
  • Computer experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Must have excellent people, role-modeling, and communication skills
  • Must be adept at multi-tasking and have excellent computer skills

Physical

  • Exposure to biological hazards
  • Hearing of normal and soft tones as well as close eye work
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs; Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
  • Certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques (Handle with Care) required
