Banner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse, RN, PCU Day Shift to join our team at the Banner University Medical Center - South Campus, located in Tucson, Arizona. This role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and an educational model designed to support learning at all levels. Our facility is an Academic Medical Center on the cutting edge of medical advances, caring for a variable population of patients, including those that are recovering from cardiac events, strokes, and diabetic ketosis. As an integral part of our team, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. You will be accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by yourself or others under your direction. This role requires the utilization of specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and review patient history and physical with the patient/family.
• Formulate a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data, and the medical plan of care, providing care based on physician orders.
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the activities of the health care team.
• Evaluate patient response to care and teaching, and revise the plan of care as needed.
