Job Description
Corewell Health is seeking a Special Procedure Tech to provide direct care for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures. This position involves assisting physicians, monitoring patients, operating equipment, and ensuring quality patient care throughout procedures. The incumbent must be able to perform IV starts, prep patients, document procedures, and provide patient/family education.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during invasive procedures and provide technical support.
- Perform and record hemodynamic waveforms and calculations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, physicians, and patients.
- Maintain radiation safety standards in compliance with Corewell Health policies.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited radiography program or equivalent training.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab, or IR.
- Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and RT status may be required.
- Strong communication, computer, and customer service skills.
