General Summary
Corewell Health is seeking a Special Procedure Tech to provide direct care pre, intra, and post-heart and/or vascular procedures under general supervision. The incumbent will assist physicians, deliver quality patient/family-centered care, perform IV starts, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, and provide patient/family education.
Essential Duties
- Monitor patients during procedures.
- Provide technical support and quality care.
- Perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic waveforms.
- Communicate effectively with team members and patients.
- Maintain radiation safety standards.
Standard Qualifications
Education/training requirements include completion of an accredited radiography program for Interventional Radiology, and specific graduate programs for Cath Lab/EP Lab. Clinical experience and certification are also necessary.
Other qualifications include basic computer skills, exceptional communication, and customer service abilities.
