Job Description

PacifiCorp is looking for a customer-centric Transmission & Distribution Vendor Management Associate to optimize contracted resources for electric distribution construction, operation, maintenance, and customer service activities. This role involves facilitating profitable vendor relationships, sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing from vendors while liaising between field operations and external contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing external contract resources to deliver capital and maintenance projects.
  • Liaise with external contractors to ensure optimal resource utilization and maximum value.
  • Participate in planning, design, building, maintenance, switching, and control of distribution and transmission systems.
  • Support management in after-hours emergencies related to distribution and transmission activities.
  • Procure and deliver the Transmission and Distribution Capital and OMAG plan from a contract resource perspective.
  • Negotiate and manage customer relationships with external vendors.
  • Manage and approve/disapprove change orders and affected processes from external vendors.
  • Review and provide input to invoicing, accruals, and other business practices related to the delivery of annual plans.
  • Support business objectives, strategies, and plans.
  • Allocate contract resources and oversee delivery from vendors, evaluating vendor performance.
  • Deliver a zero-accident workplace message on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the electric utility or related industry.
  • Three years of directly related experience in distribution operations, maintenance, construction, supply chain, or contract administration.
  • Availability for after-hour emergencies and travel may be required.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, excellent communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Preferences

  • Thorough knowledge of labor agreements, accident prevention manuals, code requirements, and personnel procedures.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and influence employees.
  • Knowledge of electrical system construction, operation, and maintenance practices.

Additional Information

Job Type: Full-Time, Hiring Range: $100,700 - $118,400, Benefits: Health care, retirement, paid time off, tuition assistance, paid short-term and long-term disability, paid bereavement leave.
